The diagnosis monitors the EME for internal faults. The fault is detected if an internal current level in the DC/DC converter exceeds the maximum value permitted. |

Measure output current and output voltage of the DC/DC converter in accordance with the Troubleshooting Manual.If the DC/DC converter provides the required output current, continue troubleshooting in the 12 V vehicle electrical system: Check positive battery cable, battery earth lead, consumer and 12 V battery for short circuit. If the DC/DC converter does not supply the required output current: Check error details. If the fault is currently present or there is a customer complaint regarding charging of the 12 V battery, renew the EME. |
