Temperature precondition: - Exhaust temperature before the catalytic converter is greater than 500°C. Time precondition: - None Other preconditions: - Engine running. - The fault is entered after 10 minutes of constant-speed driving at a driving speed greater than 80 km/h. - Constant exhaust mass flow greater than 65 kg/h. Control unit voltage: 9 V to 16 V. |

Check if faults are entered for the following components/functions, then remedy these first: - Variable camshaft timing control - Tank ventilation system. - Ignition. - Injectors. - Crankshaft sensor. - Camshaft sensor. - Electromotive throttle controller. - Hot film air mass meter Check exhaust system upstream of oxygen sensor after catalytic converter for leaks. Check lines and plug connections between the following components: - Engine control unit - Oxygen sensor before and after catalytic converter Replace oxygen sensor before catalytic converter. Renew oxygen sensor after catalytic converter. |
