Fault Code Description |
---|
Monitoring of the swirl-flap controller position. The monitoring checks whether the signal of the position sensor moves in a physically sensible value range. The fault is detected if the sensor signal (voltage) lies between a lower and a upper limit value. Lower limit value: 250 mV Upper limit value: between 440 mV and 840 mV (depending on variant). |

General Conditions |
Monitoring takes place continuously if no faults of voltage supply are available. Control unit voltage: 9.5 V to 16 V. |

Fault Time Condition |
---|
The fault is entered if it is present for longer than the following period (debounce time): 10000 ms |
Service Plan |
---|
1. Check the swirl-flap controller for electrical error. Electrical errors must be rectified first. 2. Check kinematics of the swirl-flap controller. The fault may be caused by a disconnected or broken connection between the controller and the swirl flaps. 3. The fault can be caused by wear in the swirl-flap shaft. If no additional electrical errors have been entered: Renew the intake system. |
